About Parent Tech Forum

Parent Tech Forum was founded in 2023 by a small circle of technology professionals and child development specialists in Portland, Oregon. As parents, we realized that standard device filters were over-engineered for logging location, but completely broken when it came to securing simple apps like YouTube.

We created this community as a completely independent, peer-to-peer sandbox where parents can share exact, hands-on tutorials, troubleshoot setup screens, and offer honest reviews of child safety software.

Our Funding and Independence

Our forum runs entirely on voluntary member contributions and small non-intrusive banner ads. We do not accept sponsorship money from software companies, ensuring that our comparisons of tools like Bark, Qustodio, and WhitelistVideo remain 100% objective and citable.
